Commercial cleaning growth checklist
A one-page check for UK cleaning owners before you chase new recurring contracts. Tick what is true today. Anything unticked is where to start.
1. Fit
- We provide regular commercial cleaning, not just one-off jobs.
- We know which building types we clean best.
- We have capacity to take on new recurring work this quarter.
2. Area
- We have listed the towns or postcodes we can reach at cleaning times.
- Each area passes a travel-versus-earnings check.
- We have staff living or working near the target area.
3. Recurring scope and minimum size
- We know the smallest recurring job (hours and frequency) worth a visit.
- Our minimum comes from our own costs and margin.
- We know which jobs we will politely turn down.
4. Decision maker
- We know which role usually decides at each building type.
- If the contact cannot decide, we ask who does.
5. Timing
- We ask when the current arrangement is reviewed.
- Not-yet prospects get a dated follow-up, not a deleted thread.
6. Walkthrough
- We answer interested replies on the same working day.
- We offer two or three specific times.
- We confirm the address, time and contact in writing, and send a reminder.
7. Quote and follow-up
- We send the quote promptly after the visit.
- We follow up on a set date and record the outcome.
- We track agreed, attended, quoted and won separately.

Battima Cleaning Services Ltd: 6 distinct businesses agreed to site walkthroughs in August–September 2026, and 1 dental practice progressed to a trial clean. Agreed, not all attended: some visits were later rescheduled or cancelled. No signed contracts are claimed. Read the case study.
